Winter Park is an historic village city about 25 miles northwest of downtown Orlando. This charming setting is home to several large lakes and one of the largest is Lake Osceola. Lake Osceola is a 156 acre lake and the central body of water in the Winter Park chain of lakes, which collectively cover 990 acres. You'll find some stunning period estates surrounding these bodies of water, but also some low to mid-rise condos as well. This cherished lake is bordered by manicured green lawns and dotted with towering moss-covered Cypress and Live Oak trees.
Residents and tourists alike enjoy Lake Osceola for its natural beauty, fishing, swimming and water sports.
If active outdoor recreation isn't your cup of tea, you can still enjoy the scenery. Pontoon boat tours ply the pristine waters of Lake Osceola seven days a week, viewing the private waterfront estates along its banks and traveling through the navigable connecting canals to Lake Virginia (to the south) and Lake Maitland (to the north). There is one main public boat launch on Lake Osceola, a paved promontory, walking path and public beach.

A classic condo development is Whispering Waters , right on Lake Osceola. This mid-rise, mid-century community is also within walking distance to everything Park Avenue and Central Park have to offer. It has a waterfront common area and pool. Winter Park's Cloisters is a lushly landscaped early Spanish style mid-rise condo community situated on the southwest end of Lake Osceola near Rollins College. This community is within walking distance to the shops and eateries on Park Avenue and the college campus. The swimming pool, putting green and park-like grounds front the lake itself allowing for maximum lake views and pedestrian access to the water. Residents at the Cloisters also enjoy a private boat dock. The condos here come in five, flat one to three bedroom floor plans ranging from about 950 up to 2,100 square feet not including the extensive private balconies/patios.
